Wild About Autumn

We may be moving into the darker half of the year, but October spells bags of muddy-boot escapism.

Pick up our Autumn Wanders Guide and let curiosity lead the way. Wow the senses on a Kitchen Garden experience, or harness-up for a brand new tree climb.

Holiday Forest School

Whether you're looking for a morning activity or a full day of fun, our Forest School runs in holidays throughout the year and encourages hands on learning and practical skills led by nature.

Shorts, Crafts and Outdoor Activities

All Newtlings activities are rooted in the estate’s craft and expertise. From horticulture and ecology to engineering and making, these sessions offer focused moments of fun and learning that are practical, engaging and distinctly ‘Newt’. Some workshops are longer, but we also run 'Shorts' which keep things bitesized.

Previous activities have included Junior Joiners: The Big Bird Box Build, Newtlings Beekeepers: Inside the Hive and Young Falconers: The Art of Falconry. Tree Climbing is a returning favourite, alongside seasonal specials such as lantern making and shadow puppetry.

Movement & Storytelling

A monthly movement-filled journey for Newtlings and their grown-ups alike.

Held in our beautiful Story of Gardening space, these guided sessions weave together gentle yoga-inspired movement, music, breathwork and storytelling, inviting families to stretch, giggle, explore and unwind together.

Expect calm moments and playful ones, all moving at your own pace. You’re free to dip in and out as you need, and enjoy a chance to socialise with other families after the session.

Newtlings’ Art School; Christmas Special

Make the start of the Christmas holidays all the more magical with a special edition Newtlings’ Art School with a festive twist. Little ones will be encouraged to cultivate their artistic side in our artist-led Art School in the College Room on 21 December.

Enchanted Trails & Festive Tales

Little ones can step into a world of wonder on our Enchanted Christmas Trail: The Moon That Went Missing from 14 November, inspired by the magnificent full moon set to appear on Christmas Eve. Join the youngest woodland creatures on an estate adventure to find the elusive Christmas Moon, meeting curious characters and collecting stickers along the way.

Plus, put pen to paper at our special letter writing station in the Threshing Barn.

Festive Lates: 19 November

If you missed out on St Nic tickets this year, fear not, as he’ll be making a flying visit to say hello with his reindeer friends on Thursday 19 November at our Festive Late night.

Join us as we light up our tree, chorus carols and get in fine festive spirits with a brass band. Steamy hot chocolate (or cyder for grown-ups), oozy toasties and crumble-topped mince pies will fuel Christmas shopping at our stores, with tasters available of festive favourites.

Roam and Discover

Wandering the grounds you'll find plenty of entertainment for young adventurers. From the Viper to the Snail Mound, grab a map and go explore!
